Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced a series of Laboratory Informatics Symposiums (LIS) for laboratory managers to be held from 14-20 September in three South African locations.
The events will be held in Johannesburg (13-14 September), Durban (15-16 September) and Cape Town (20 September).
The symposiums are designed for laboratory managers across a range of industries with responsibility for QA, data management and laboratory workflow with particular focus on integrating the laboratory with enterprise systems, enabling faster decision-making, ensuring lab efficiencies and reducing costs.
The Thermo Scientific LIS will provide an opportunity for laboratory scientists and IT professionals to share industry perspectives and discuss the changing business requirements that drive the enhancements needed in world-class informatics solutions.
The symposiums are designed to bring together both current Thermo Scientific informatics users and others in the scientific community interested in laboratory information management systems (Lims), chromatography data systems, spectroscopy software and electronic laboratory notebooks.
At each of the South Africa Symposiums, participants will have the opportunity to meet with Thermo Scientific development and executive staff and hear from customers about their best practices and key learnings.
The symposiums will focus on the data management requirements of a range of industries, including oil and gas, food and beverage production, petrochemical, life sciences, power and government laboratories.
