Dorton Analytical has made available the Legato 270 syringe pump, which is said to be ideal for delivering precise and smooth flow in research, pilot plants and production applications.
The Legato 270 syringe pump has an optimised user-configurable syringe mechanism designed to deliver a full volume in infuse and withdraw modes whether using small or large syringes.
This reconfigurable mechanism allows the user to change the syringe clamping mechanism to hold from 0.5ul up to 140ml syringes.
Two removable pins adjust the syringe mechanism to allow full stroke when using larger syringes.
The Legato 270 features a continuous push and pull pump.
When used with check valves, the unit will draw fluid from a reservoir while the opposite side is dispensing fluid and after the user-selected volume is dispensed, the pump will automatically switch through the check valves and refill the empty syringes while dispensing from the other side.
This will continuously dispense as long as there is fluid in the reservoir.
The Legato 270 features a touch-screen interface and an easy-to-view display.
The TFT colour display presents all the pump operating parameters in an easy-to-view run screen, eliminating incorrect pump configuration.
Flow performance is optimised with a small-step-angle stepping motor that drives a precision lead screw.
Accuracy is +/-0.35 per cent and has 0.05 per cent reproducibility.
The Legato family of products are fully RoHS compliant and offer ETL certifications, including CSA, UL and CE mark.
