The Flowcam particle imager from Fluid Imaging Technologies, which can count particles in liquids such as river water, parenteral drug formulations, chemicals and so on, is available from Meritics.
The Flowcam also images particles to allow identification of contaminating particles to be made using the Visual Spreadsheet software.
Particle parameters can be set up by the user to select specific types, sizes or shapes of particle and report data on each group.
Particles from approximately 1-1,000 microns can be measured.
