The Matec APS 100 can provide size distribution data down to 10nm in both aqueous and non-aqueous dispersions without dilution of the sample.
Because sound travels through all material media, the APS 100's acoustic attenuation measurements can be made on high concentration and/or opaque samples enabling slurries and colloidal dispersions to be quickly characterised.
In addition to size measurements, pH, conductivity and temperature of samples are recorded.
The hardware design of the APS 100 is said to simplify operation while minimising maintenance.
Samples can either be poured or pumped into the sample cell for analysis.
