Brightwell's Micro-Flow Imaging (MFI) technology provides increased sensitivity towards detecting protein aggregation, relative to Size-Exclusion Chromatography (SEC).
Researchers at Pfizer and the University of Colorado have published data that suggests that 'particle counting may be the most sensitive technique available for the detection of aggregated protein'.
In their study, they state that 'particle counting and estimates of protein mass in particles provides a sensitive means to detect protein aggregation and that this method is much more sensitive than SEC'.
Brightwell's MFI technology was employed in this study.
Micro-Flow Imaging technology is used to rapidly measure particle size, count/concentration and morphology.
Filters based on morphological parameters are easily generated for the purposes of particle classification/selective reporting and images of each individual particle are stored for reference purposes.
