Intertek has opened an environmental laboratory in Villahermosa whose primary function will be to help satisfy the need for environmental testing services throughout Mexico.
The Intertek laboratory is said to be the first of its kind in Tabasco, providing analytical testing capabilities that meet the highest environmental standards and requirements.
The lab tests soil, water, gas emissions, hazardous wastes and auditing, among other services, enabling regional clients access to local environmental services.
In addition to local authorisations, the laboratory will be ISO 17025 certified and will be accredited by EMA (Entidad Mexicana de Acreditacion), the Mexican accreditation body; CONAGUA (Comision Nacional del Agua) National Water Commission; and the DF and Mexico State governments.
