PAC has announced that Sulfur Express, its test method for the determination of total sulphur in liquid-hydrocarbon-based fuels, is now published and embodied in ASTM D7620.
ASTM D7620 differs from D5453 because it does not require the use of compressed gases for oxidation, enhancing the portability of the analyser.
Both the process and the analyser are ideal for portable applications such as mobile labs and screening applications where the user does not want to send a sample to a lab for analysis.
This test method covers the determination of total sulphur in liquid-hydrocarbon-based fuel with a final boiling point of up to 450C.
It is applicable to analysis of natural, processed and final product materials containing sulphur in the range of 4 to 830mg/kg.
This test method can be used to determine sulphur in process and downstream distribution streams.
It can also be used for the screening and quality control of finished hydrocarbon fuel products.
Antek by PAC's Sulfur Express can detect a range of sulphur levels from high to low consistently, with results in less than 6min.
No compressed gases are required; samples are easily loaded into an automatic sample injector and results are displayed in real time on the unit itself or remotely via its handy USB interface.
Sulfur Express is capable of testing a variety of fuels and features the latest UVF technology.
