Fritsch has redesigned its Pulverisette 5 classic line planetary ball mill for a range of sample grinding applications.
It now offers rapid, batch-wise grinding down to colloidal fineness, dry or in suspension, is ideal for mixing and homogenising of emulsions and pastes, and has a feed size of less than 10mm edge length.
The Pulverisette 5 classic line carries the CE mark for proven safety (for example, the mill cannot be opened during operation, nor started up with the lid in the open position).
Other features include: no disturbing contamination because grinding bowls and balls are available in nine different materials; reproducible grinding and full recovery in sealed grinding bowls; simultaneous grinding of either eight small samples or four large samples; membrane keypad with digital display of operational parameters, including rotational; speed of support disc (360rev/min); and integral fan located in the grinding chamber.
