Fritsch has announced that its variable-speed rotor mill - the Pulverisette 14 - is an all-purpose mill that offers high rotational speed for fine grinding results in the shortest times.
The mill rapidly and effectively grinds a range of sample types, including soft to medium-hard, brittle, and fibrous samples.
The Pulverisette 14's efficient air cooling means that the comminution of samples that are difficult to grind or temperature-sensitive samples and plastics is not a problem.
The mill has a top speed of 20,000rev/min.
With a feed particle size of <10mm, a final fineness of up to 40um can be achieved.
Throughput depends on material and lies between 0.05 and five litres per hour.
Rotors, sieve rings and collecting vessels made of different materials and in different sizes enable an optimal adjustment of the instrument to the application.
Even when heavy-metal-(iron)-free grinding or sample preparation according to standard for RoHS analysis is required, the appropriate accessories are available.
