With the launch of its Materials Talks website, Malvern Instruments has opened a global channel through which it can share their thoughts, opinions, experience and expertise with readers.
'I found myself researching "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie, because - in the true spirit of social media transparency - that is what I'd like to achieve,' said product group manager Paul Kippax, who was tasked with writing an early blog on why Malvern Instruments has elected to embrace social media.
'However, my colleagues and I are keen to ensure that this translates into a real, value-added service that is genuinely engaging and useful, whether people have known Malvern for a long time, have just acquired a Malvern product, or even if they are using another manufacturer's system but want to know more about what Malvern is up to and more about the field of materials characterisation,' Kippax added.
The first blog postings went live in November and the intention is to update the blog at least twice a week.
Malvern wants to hear what readers think and invites suggestions for topics people want to see covered.
