Prizmatix has released a fibre-coupled, ultra-high-power white LED suitable for replacing mercury and xenon lamps in power-demanding applications such as fluorescence microscopy and machine vision.
This new addition to Prizmatix's modular Optiblocks range provides >1.3W of collimated white LED power on its output and a rapid warm-up time.
It is compatible with the company's modular Microscope-LED Light Source products and supports CW or pulsed operation.
Additionally, the LED spectrum can be narrowed by optional band-pass filter.
Because no lamp or laser tube replacement is required, the light source has a long life.
Applications include: fluorescence microscopy, for staining with CFP, Fura Red, GFP, Fluorescein, FITC, Mito Tracker, Alexa, Cy3 and Texas Red; whole-body imaging of small animals in-vivo; bio analysis; and machine vision.
