Klastech Laser Technologies has launched the new Concerto 442nm laser, which, with its good Gaussian beam quality and ultra low noise signature, brings new alternatives to the bio-fluorescence market.
Previewed as a prototype in 2010, this laser is now entering serial production with output powers available in excess of 100mW.
The laser offers inherent single frequency performance that makes it suitable for Raman and other spectroscopy applications where diode lasers typically lack the necessary narrow line width.
For those applications requiring long coherence lengths that are still reliant on large He-Cd lasers, this product also offers >100m coherence length making it suitable for holography, disc mastering and rapid prototyping applications.
