Assaymetrics has announced the launch of its laser-based Fluospec FL reader for drug discovery at the SBS 2011 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida.
The Fluospec FL plate reader is marketed with the tag-line 'innovate, discriminate' and reads 96-, 384- and 1,536-well microtitre plates.
The reader is optimised for Assaymetrics' Puretime reagents but can be used with other fluorescent dye tags.
Patent-pending technology uses rapid fluorescence lifetime discrimination to achieve significantly lower false positive/negative rates, leading to faster and more robust development steps.
The Fluospec FL plate reader also offers kinetic assay measurements with optional temperature control.
