Phidgets has released the 1002 Phidget analogue four-output, which can produce from -10 to 10V at up to 20mA on any or all of its four channels.
The 0-10V standard is widely used in devices for dimming fluorescent and LED lights.
Other devices that can be controlled by 0-10V are valve actuators and motor controllers.
Product specifications: output voltage range +/-10V; output current limit per channel 20mA; output voltage resolution 4.8mV (12 bit); output impedance (channel enabled) 0.5 Ohm; output impedance (channel not enabled) 4kOhms; USB voltage range 4.5-5.25V DC; USB max current 300mA; USB quiescent current 55mA; capacitive load stability 4,000pF; terminal block min/max wire gauge 16-26 AWG; not isolated; all channels share common ground software environment; users can program Phidgets using an Application Programming Interfade (API) that is supported under Windows (2000, XP, Vista), Windows CE, Mac OS X and Linux.
Users can write programs in Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, C/C++, Flash/Flex, Java, Labview, Matlab, Actionscript 3.0 and Cocoa.
Phidgets also provides programming examples for all its products to help programmers write their own programs.
