Biofocus has established a new shared exclusivity model for the sale of its Softfocus compound libraries, which are designed to target novel protein ranges of particular interest to subscribers.
This model will provide a limited number of clients with Softfocus libraries on a subscription basis only, thus allowing clients access to high-value compounds with limited competition on derived intellectual property.
Biofocus will continue to provide support to customers of the existing Softfocus non-exclusive libraries through the open access chemical structure search engine, Emolecules, and Biofocus' improved resynthesis, scaffold and protocol program.
The Emolecules platform allows users to search structural information and order pre-2011 Softfocus compounds online.
