Harvard Apparatus has introduced the Samba Preclin pressure monitoring system featuring ultra-miniature fibre-optic pressure transducers, suitable for animal research applications.
The technology enables researchers to record high-frequency pressure data (up to 40kHz) using a transducer no bigger than a grain of salt on a human hair - small enough for insertion into carotid, femoral and tail arteries of mice.
The fibre-optic transducer is safe for use within an MRI environment (+10T) and is suitable for use in gating the MRI, allowing the production of optimal movie sequences and enhanced image quality.
The new products are available exclusively through Harvard Apparatus and Harvard Apparatus distributors worldwide.
