At SBS 2011, TTP Labtech will offer scientists the opportunity to win one year's free use of two of its instruments - the Acumen for high-quality imaging or the Mosquito for precision pipetting.
The company is inviting scientists to submit a 1,000-word proposal on how the Acumen imaging system or Mosquito nanolitre liquid-handling system will revolutionise their research.
The Acumen imaging system is claimed to be the fastest available for cell-based screening, enabling scientists to collect and simultaneously analyse more than 40 images per second.
It also features three-laser fluorescence capability.
Applications include RNAi, colony counting and cell migration analysis.
The Mosquito nanolitre pipetting platform enables the accurate transfer of liquids of almost any viscosity, with zero cross-contamination between samples and wells.
It utilises positive displacement technology for 100 per cent repeatable pipetting.
