Konica Minolta Sensing has launched the CM-5 Spectrophotometer, its next-generation colour measurement instrument, to the pharmaceutical industry at the 2011 Interphex show.
This year's Interphex show will run 29-31 March in New York at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
The CM-5 is many-featured standalone spectrophotometer that does not require a PC.
It displays a wide range of information, including numeric data, spectral graphs and colorimetric plots, on its large on-board colour screen.
The versatility of the top port design can support the measurement of solid objects, pills, granules, and pastes.
It also integrates a sliding body panel to expose its large transmittance chamber, which is capable of measuring liquids, films or plates up to 60mm thick.
The sliding body-panel design, with no sides, allows for the measurement of an object with no length limitation.
According to the company, the CM-5 is easy to use and offers virtually mistake-free colour measurement.
The CM-5 comes with five new indices preloaded on the unit, including the Gardner, Iodine, Hazen (APHA), European Pharmacopoeia and US Pharmacopeia values of liquids.
