Softgenetics has launched the newest version of its Nextgene software for the analysis of data from the Roche, Illumina, ION PGM and Applied Biosystems SOLID System sequencing platforms.
The latest version incorporates a multitude of new functionalities and efficiencies requested by genetists, biologists and IT personnel.
The new version includes enhanced Transcriptome detection, a new pipeline tool for unattended automation of NGS data analysis, as well as high performance with ION PGM data.
'Researchers interested in transcriptome analysis utilising the power of NGS platforms will find significantly enhanced accuracy with Nextgene for the detection of alternative splicing sites, transcript detection and gene fusion with the incorporation of our new multi-step alignment algorithm and detection algorithms,' said development biologist John McGuigan, The pipeline tool will automatically query the availability of sequence data, de-multiplex barcoded samples, obtain pre-selected panels for references and perform data alignment followed by SNP/INDEL analysis without intervention.
Analysis results are then stored for review.
Multiple analysis projects can be created for sequential processing.
