Fisher Scientific has launched a trade-in offer on the Shandon Cytospin 4, allowing users to trade in their Cytospin 1, 2 or 3 for the new instrument and get GBP1,000 off the list price.
The offer also includes GBP1,000-worth of EZ Cytofunnels or EZ Megafunnels and is valid until 30 September 2011.
The Cytospin 4 accepts all the protocols from the Cytospin 1, 2 and 3.
It features a redesigned lid-release mechanism that allows for one-handed opening and closing of the outer lid; locked-lid only operation for greater user safety; and a polycarbonate window for direct observation of sealed head during cytocentrifugation.
The instrument features an improved safety design that prevents fluid spills from damaging the mechanical or electronic components while allowing easy disinfecting, and a pull-out program card for storage of up to nine programs.
