Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that its Oxoid Quanti-Cult Plus QC microorganisms now include mean counts on the in-pack, ensuring that users have all the information they need to hand.
In addition, these easily transferable labels help to create fast and accurate documentation.
Derived directly from ATCC strains, each ready-to-use vial is three passages from the original seed lot, well within pharmacopoeial requirements, ensuring reliable and consistent phenotypic characteristics.
Every Oxoid Quanti-Cult Plus pack contains 10 vials of preserved microorganisms, complete with predispensed rehydration fluid, and can be stored conveniently in the fridge (2-8deg), both before rehydration and for up to eight hours after rehydration.
Individual vials deliver consistent counts of <100 CFU in 10 inocula of 0.1ml.
This ensures reproducible results, thus eliminating the inaccuracies that are inherent in performing serial dilutions and helping to standardise procedures among all staff.
By eliminating the bench work associated with serial dilutions and the maintenance of stock cultures, Oxoid Quanti-Cult Plus is not only accurate and reliable, but it is also time saving and cost effective.
With no need for sharps and no need for freezer storage, this is designed to be a safe and convenient option for every laboratory.
The range includes 23 ATCC strains and one NCTC strain.
