Crawford Scientific has announced the launch of YMC-Triart C18, a novel, multi-layered, organic/inorganic hybrid particle synthesised with C18 (L1 USP designation).
The chemistry of the C18 is enhanced by a multi-stage, multi-compound end-capping process that overcomes the weaknesses of single-step end capping and effectively caps essentially all the residual silanol sites that are accessible by analytes.
The chemical stability of the material combines with the inherent mechanical durability of the particles themselves to contribute to long column lifetime and is available in columns packed with 1.9mm (3 and 5mm) particles that operate over a pH range of 1 to 12, enabling the manipulation of analytical retention and preparative loading.
YMC-Triart exhibits a balanced hydrophobicity, making it more rententive than other hybrids and potentially simplifying the separation of difficult peaks.
