Harvard Apparatus has introduced the Electroprep dialyser, a sample preparation system that is suitable for the rapid purification of proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and other biomolecules.
The Electroprep can be used for electro-dialysis, electro-elution, electro-filtration, electro-fractionation or electro-concentration for running a sample simultaneously into multiple molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) fractions in three minutes.
With a runtime of three to 10 minutes, Electroprep is said to provide speed and convenience, even at the very low currents (5-10mA) used with this system.
The reusable sample chambers are made of PTFE for high sample recovery and have been redesigned to provide larger membrane surface areas for faster dialysis rates.
The Electroprep dialysers are available in volumes of 50ul and 1,500ul and can be joined with a Union or one or two Link Chambers in different combinations and membranes.
