Cambridge Viscosity has introduced the Viscolab 4000 laboratory viscometer that is suitable for viscosity measurements from 0.2-10,000 centipoise.
The instrument contains a piston-style electromagnetic sensor and built-in temperature detector (RTD) for continuous viscosity, temperature and temperature-compensated viscosity readings.
Measurements can be made in any of 12 20:1 viscosity ranges.
Multiple operating ranges and product setups can be pre-calibrated and data can be output to a PC via the RS232 serial port for tracking, storage or graphical display.
The electronics allow the user to define temperature and viscosity display units, data averaging interval, density and more.
They also provide digital readings, as well as statistics on sample stability that allow greater repeatability between tests and operators.
