Femtolasers has presented its first MHz Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA), which is directly pumped by the proven Femtosource XL oscillator.
The versatile system delivers tens of nJ pulse energy in the MIR spectral range at a repetition rate of 5MHz.
An optional SHG module is available for the signal beam and provides tuneable pulses in the visible range.
The high repetition rate of the system is claimed to reduce data aquisition times and noise, a huge advantage especially for imaging applications.
The use of an oscillator as the pump source eliminates the need for a complex amplifier system, while reducing operating complexity and total cost of ownership.
