Fortis Technologies has designed a calculator to aid in the transfer between HPLC to UHPLC
The new product is part of an ongoing effort to address the challenge of transferring methods from HPLC to UHPLC for chromatographic practitioners.
The calculator helps in the transfer of methods between the techniques, allowing the analyst to quickly input their current method parameters.
They are then provided with the theoretical equivalent of what they must change in terms of column dimension, flow rate and gradient profile to move to a faster more sensitive UHPLC method.
Based on an excel spreadsheet, any computer can run the system without the need for any special software or program downloads.
It also provides the analyst with an overview of the time and solvent savings that will be made with their new UHPLC method.
