The NV175 range of power supplies from TDK-Lambda has been approved to 3rd Edition medical safety standards.
The NV175 medical power supplies range is suitable for use with operating inputs from 90V to 264Vac and up to five outputs between 0.9V and 28V.
The range has recently been approved to IEC/EN 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No 60601-1-08 3rd Edition medical safety standards.
This is in addition to the NV175’s current Edition 2 approval to maintain safety during the Edition 2/Edition 3 transition period.

The NV175 medical power supply is ideally suited for the computing, industrial control, security, internet and broadcasting industries.
According to certification body Intertek, the 3rd Edition of IEC 60601-1, published in 2005, represents a shift in philosophy from the 2nd Edition, including a greater emphasis on risk management and essential performance.
The outline and the numbering scheme of the clauses and subclauses were changed, risk management was made more relevant and the concept of essential performance was added.
Currently, there is some overlap in the applicability of the 2nd and 3rd Edition depending on the products and country of application.
