The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is providing free one to one expert career consultations at Lab Innovations 2012.
The RSC first launched its career service 15 years ago and has since become hugely popular among its 48,000 members.
This year 700 people are expected to use the service, and the consultation at Lab Innovations is predicted to be in demand.
The tailored sessions are part of a careers clinic manned by the RSC throughout the two-day exhibition.
The consultations will be given by the RSC’s careers specialist, Charlotte Ashley-Roberts, who is also speaking at the show.
Ashley-Roberts said: “Many lab professionals are unsure how to move their career forward. They are unsure how to develop themselves or how to avoid being pigeonholed in their organisation.
“Some worry about becoming too specialist, or don’t know how to enhance their skills and prospects when training budgets are at a minimum. Whatever their careers question, I’d urge them to come to the show and make use of the sessions.”
The sought after appointments will be exclusively for RSC members and are booked on a first come, first served basis so should be snapped up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
