The vial washing range includes a unique nozzle design to eliminate glass damage.
Biopharma is offering a range of Rotary (RW) washers designed for use by organisations such as academic departments, start-up companies and biotech production facilities.
All models in the RW range feature PennTech Machinery Corporation’s unique nozzle design, which limits problems of glass damage caused during misfeeding and misalignment.
The non-penetrating nozzle works by minimising the generation of particulates through moving parts to eliminate the possibility of nozzle bending.
The RW range includes the smallest continuous vial washer in the world, the RW-500, at one end of the scale and at the other end, the high-speed RW-1150 that can clean 400 vials/min.
There is also an intermediate option, the RW-800, which can cope with 200 vials/min. The size of vials washable varies at up to 500ml with the RW-1150 model.
The semi-automatic RW-250, with a throughput of 30-70 vials/min, is ideal for the smaller laboratory.
The company also has a range of External Vial (EVW) washers featuring a waterproof seal to encapsulate the vial cap.
Further features of the EVW range include:
- No manual setting or adjustment from the operator is required
- The hanging vial arrangement means that the bottom of the vials is completely exposed to the rinsing fluids and drying air
- Dedicated change parts for 13mm and 20mm caps and an automatic menu-driven system ensure quick tool changeover
- Changeover which can be accomplished in as little as 10 minutes for vials with the same neck diameter, or 30 minutes where the cap-sealing belt must be exchanged
- Output performance is as much as 12,000 DIN2R vials per minute, 6000 DIN20R per minute
- There are two EVW versions available: Stand-alone with infeed tray, and in-line as part of a filling line
