Ceram has added biocompatibility testing to the range of its services for the healthcare industries.
Forming part of its regulatory approval testing package, biocompatibility testing is carried out to ISO 10993 and includes extractables/leachables testing, chemical, physical, morphological and topographical materials characterisation and identification/quantification of degradation products.
Biocompatibility testing options include:
- Extractables/leachables testing (including extraction)
- Chemical, physical, morphological and topographical characterisation of materials
- Identification and quantification of degradation products (polymers, metals, ceramics) including sample preparation
- Ethylene oxide sterilisation residuals testing
- Cytotoxicity testing
