The OT3 battery-driven optical trigger is designed to mobilise imaging for use with high speed cameras on proofing ranges.
Created to help isolate its operation from the interference of ground loops, noise spiking or brownout, the twelve diode array has a spectral response from 300-1300nm.
The system also incorporates a 700nm cut-off filter to reduce the range so decrease the IR saturation from sources such as clouds.
A further benefit of the OT3 is that it can be used as an IR muzzle flash detector as well as a sky-screen detector.
Additionally, the sky screen reference can be artificial (white board or LED light array) which removes any operational dependence on weather.
