Physik Instrumente has announced the addition of the N-725 PIFOC objective scanner to its range.
The piezo stepping drives are designed to record 3D stacks with up to 1mm depth for use within positioning microscopy objectives.
The N-725 features a travel range of up to 2mm along its optical axis whilst also boasting rapid positioning technology.
Its focusing system is capable of achieving around 20 milliseconds for 3 µm steps and its robust design make it no larger than conventional, piezo-based PIFOC objective stages.
The high-resolution sensor offers sub-nm resolution which is designed to stabilise positioning control.
Additionally, the digital control feature can be set and optimised through system software allowing path-time diagrams to be displayed via trace memory.
Features overview:
- 2000 µm travel range.
- Step-and-settle function for Z stacks.
- Thread adapters as optional accessory.
