The immunoassay control and analyser-specific BNP control system is designed to enable labs to assign their own values and ranges.
Randox Laboratories has stated that its control system has been developed through extensive research and includes the following analytes: Cardiac markers Troponin I & T, routine tumour markers CA15-3, CA19-9, CA125, B2-Microglobulin, fPSA and tPSA and various specialist immunoassays.
The control is available in three levels and is unassayed. Stability for thawed serum is variable (depending on the analyte) but will be stable for up to 7 days when stored at +2-+8°c.
Additonally, Randox has also launched analyser specific, liquid BNP controls for Beckman Access and Dxl, Abbott Architect and Siemens Advia analysers to enhance third party assay control capabilities.
Liquid BNP features overview:
- Open vial stability of 30 days at +2°C to +8°C.
- Three control levels.
- Unbiased assessment of performance.
