Integra has announced the launch of its Viaflo Assist which works in combination with a Viaflo II electronic handheld pipette to enable the pipette’s protocols to be performed automatically.
Handheld pipetting requires practice to achieve steady reproducible pipetting results. Typical parameters influencing performance are tip immersion depth and pipetting angle.
The automated pipetting capability of Viaflo Assist is designed to ensure these parameters are always the same, resulting in increased reproducibility.
To use the automated system, users must mount a Viaflo II electronic pipette on to the pipette adapter, choose a protocol and press the run button.
Viaflo Assist will then obtain the protocol via Bluetooth from the electronic pipette and automatically execute it.
The Viaflo Assist smart pipette adapter accommodates all Viaflo II multichannel pipettes (8-, 12- and 16-channels), enabling precision pipetting throughout the volume range of 0.5 - 1250 µl.
To fulfil wide ranging applications, including serial dilutions, reagent additions and plate filling, the combined systems accommodate 6-well to 384-well standard or deep-well plates in landscape or portrait format.
