The miVac Quattro from Genevac has been designed as a workhorse sample concentrator for biological laboratories handling large numbers of samples.
The centrifugal vacuum concentrator rapidly removes a wide range of solvents, from volatile organic solvents through to DMF, including water, making it suitable for concentrating precious samples in applications including oligonucleotide synthesis, RNA/DNA preparation, peptide preparation, sequencing, molecular biology and ADME/toxicology research.
A wide variety of high capacity rotors means that the miVac Quattro is capable of removing water and organic solvents from biological samples in a range of formats including tubes, microplates, and vials.
Fitted with a four-swing position rotor, it can simultaneously accommodate up to 20 shallow well microplates or eight deep-well plates, enabling significant increases in throughput and slashing drying times.
Benefiting from bespoke methods for different solvents the concentrator will typically remove water up to 40% faster than traditional concentrators and is quiet when in use.
Solvent removal productivity is further enhanced by the miVac SpeedTrap refrigerated condenser, solid aluminium JetRotor system, and high displacement pump.
