"The quality control systems on other Lims systems are passive in nature. This means that users do not realise there has been a problem until after all the results have been entered"
An integrated analytical quality control (AQC) module is at the heart of the latest release of Analytical Information Systems (AIS) laboratory information management system.
With its active AQC module, AIS Lims version 7 saves both time and money by instantly advising users when standards are required and warning them if target values are not being met.
"The quality control systems on other Lims systems are passive in nature.
This means that users do not realise there has been a problem until after all the results have been entered.
Version 7 overcomes this completely by informing the user immediately of any problems," said Dai Darkin, MD of AIS.
Another major innovation is the integrated graphical wizard.
While other Lims systems require users to purchase third-party add-on packages, version 7 again saves money and time by carrying out its own graphical analyses.
Version 7 also supports integrated third-party functionality and generates output compatible with Microsoft Office documents.
AIS Lims 7 is available as 32-bit Windows software supporting industry standard database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server 7 and Oracle.
