Popular bibliographic software expands global market with Unicode support and includes Microsoft Word 2004 compatibility
Thomson ResearchSoft is now shipping both Windows and Macintosh versions of EndNote 8 - a major upgrade to the bibliographic management software used by millions of researchers, librarians and students worldwide.
EndNote is well known for introducing innovative features including the ability to search online bibliographic databases, organise references and images, and create instant bibliographies.
EndNote 8 offers Unicode support for any language, unlimited library size, new reference types and fields, and Microsoft Word 2004 compatibility.

EndNote 8 implements support for the Unicode standard, providing users with a solution for processing and displaying multi-lingual text.
Since Unicode covers all principal languages, with EndNote 8 researchers and students can cite references and create bibliographies for their papers in the languages of the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim.

Now with EndNote 8, users have unlimited storage capacity as well as additional ways to collect and organise references.
In response to the increasing variety of electronic resources EndNote 8 provides new reference types including electronic book, electronic journal and online database, as well as new reference fields such as electronic resource number and last modified date. EndNote 8 users can move an EndNote library to any handheld device running Palm OS 4.0 - 5.0 and can locate references easily with the new 'find reference' function.
The latest version provides over 2,200 ways to connect EndNote with bibliographic databases and publishing styles.
