Integration of synthetic chemistry planning environment with online prediction and search technology to create a 'best in breed' combination
Synthematix and Advanced Chemistry Development, (ACD/Labs) have announced the integration of Synthematix's Arthur suite with the online prediction and search technology, I-Lab.
As part of an ongoing agreement to integrate selected market-leading ACD/Labs solutions with Synthematix's Arthur suite, the integration will address the enterprise-wide deployment of ACD/Labs's prediction tools within the Arthur environment.
Arthur is a comprehensive synthetic chemistry planning environment that enables chemists to build, search, model, and mine synthetic reactions and procedures within a chemistry-centric relational database.
Using Synthematix's proprietary reaction planning system, chemists are able to design and record completely new experiments, or design around previous reactions and procedures found in the database.
Integrating Arthur with ACD/Labs's 'interactive laboratory', I-Lab, will enable synthetic chemists to enhance their reaction data with a range of chemical properties.
Arthur users will gain the capacity to predict the physicochemical properties of their molecular structures, predict the multinuclear NMR spectra of their reaction products, and generate chemical names, either Iupac or CAS Index, to populate their databases with systematic nomenclature.
"Synthematix and ACD/Labs are committed to providing our customers seamless integration of the software that they rely on in their day-to-day activities.
"Integrating ACD/I-Lab's market leading technology with Synthematix's reaction planning capabilities in the Arthur Suite places powerful, easy-to-use technology in the hands of every synthetic chemist in an organisation. "Tremendous research productivity and effectiveness gains are the net result to our customers," said Steve Jones, Synthematix CEO.
Antony Williams, VP of scientific development and marketing at ACD/Labs, adds: "We believe that I-Lab is the ideal enterprise deployment vehicle for our prediction and content database technologies.
"Integrating these capabilities with the Arthur suite from Synthematix offers a best in breed combination which is second to none.
"It will address the needs of chemists to both manage their reaction data and predict or generate those properties associated with chemical structures in the database".
Previous integration between ACD/Labs and Synthematix enabled access to ACD/Labs prediction capabilities in the Arthur environment through ACD/Labs's standard desktop tools and batch predictors.
Integration of Arthur with I-Lab will, the companies say, overcome the time and costs associated with deployment and maintenance of individual desktop modules, and increase the accessibility of prediction for Arthur users.
