Agilent Technologies publishes a primer entitled 'Analysis of pharmacologically relevant compounds using GC/MSD - EI/PCI/NCI a compendium of applications explained'
Agilent Technologies Europe has announced the publication of a new introductory technical booklet which describes the benefits of GC/MS in both electron impact/electron ionisation (EI) and chemical ionisation (CI) modes for the analysis of pharmacologically relevant compounds.
Directly applicable to the everyday work of the analytical chemist, the booklet provides details on analytical methods, chromatographic parameters, derivitisation steps, detection limits and other important parameters for 43 compounds.
The selected compounds are representatives of important compound classes such as: barbiturates, narcotics, tranquilisers, nitroimidazoles and steroids.
The free booklet is currently available in German.
The English version will be available by mid-December 2001.
