New kit from Agilent Technologies is the third in a series of genome-screening microarray kits, and says the company is set to assist researchers in the study of human disease
Agilent Technologies Europe has announced the release of its Mouse cDNA microarray kit (G4104A), featuring sequence-verified cDNA clones from Incyte Genomics.
This microarray is the third in a series of genome-screening kits that provide researchers with consistent genomic information to discover new drugs and diagnose diseases.
The Agilent Mouse cDNA microarray kit gives researchers the ability to conduct large-scale, differential gene expression screens on over 8,500 mouse genes in a single microarray experiment.
The two-colour labelling format allows researchers to conduct simultaneous, differential gene expression analysis on both test and control samples in a single microarray experiment. This reduces the variation inherent with traditional single-colour systems that require two separate microarray labelling and hybridisation steps and subsequent analyses. Furthermore, all Agilent cDNA microarrays are packaged in a convenient off-the-shelf kit format featuring four microarrays, hybridisation buffer, protocol, and CD that includes a complete listing of features that are present and hybridisable on the microarrays.

Agilent's previously announced Human 1 cDNA and Human 2 cDNA microarray kits also feature Incyte Genomics gene content.
All three kits feature microarrays that are precision printed using Agilent SurePrint technology.
Agilent microarrays are printed on standard 1" x 3" glass slides, which can be scanned using Agilent's 48-slide DNA microarray scanner (G2565AA) or other available scanners.
The Agilent Mouse cDNA microarray kit (G4104A) is available now for commercial release in Europe, the United States, Canada, and Japan.
