Agilent Technologies and Joint Analytical Systems (JAS) sign non-binding letter of intent for manufacture and support of gas chromatography-based detector
Agilent Technologies and Joint Analytical Systems (JAS) have announced the signing of a non-binding letter of intent regarding the licensing of rights to enable JAS to manufacture, sell, support, and develop Agilent's atomic emissions detector (AED).
The Agilent G2350A AED, a gas chromatography (GC)-based detector, allows detection of virtually all elements within any volatised compound (except helium, the carrier gas) at picogram-levels, with excellent selectivities.
The AED is said to be ideal for both routine QA/QC and research laboratories, and supports highly specialised applications and business needs. Agilent has sold and supported the AED over the past 11 years. Agilent Technologies says it will continue to provide comprehensive service and support to its current AED system customers.
Agilent will reallocate resources from AED projects to better support new solutions opportunities for its customers.
JAS has been an Agilent channel partner since 1995, and employs scientists, engineers, and software specialists to provide sophisticated chemical analysis products.
JAS currently manufactures a broad line of GC-focused products for the environmental, pharmaceutical, food and flavour, chemical and petrochemical markets and has capabilities in hardware and software development for gas and liquid chromatography instrumentation.
