Agilent announces the apointment of Rudi Grimm as manager for proteomics market development
Agilent Technologies Europe has announced that Rudi Grimm has rejoined the company's life sciences and chemical analysis business as its manager for proteomics market development.
Grimm will be located in Waldbronn, Germany.
Prior to his hiring by Agilent, Grimm was a senior bioscience application chemist at Hewlett-Packard in Waldbronn from 1991 to 1998.
He left HP in 1998 before Agilent was spun off from HP in 1999, to head the protein analysis research at Toplab, a proteomics and genomics company based in Munich.
In 1999, Grimm became head of Hexal's biotechnology laboratory with the charter of establishing protein characterisation methods to analyse recombinant proteins.
He has held this position until now.
Grimm, a native of Bavaria, holds a doctorate degree from the University of Munich, with a thesis on protein purification and characterisation.
He also completed postdoctoral work from the universities of Freiburg and Tokyo before joining HP.
He has authored 117 scientific papers and application notes on protein isolation, purification and characterisation.
