Amplicon has just released Agilent Vee Pro version 6.0, an easy graphical programming environment for faster measurement results analysis.
With the defacto measurement analysis software MatLab embedded within the Agilent Vee Pro, this new version excels over the popular Vee 5.0, which collects data extremely well but lacks measurement analysis.
The version 6.0 now offers full MatLab script functionality at the added advantage of no extra cost, and is able to connect "measurements to customer minds to their markets".
In addition to this new benefit, the software also includes ActiveX controls, ActiveX automation, 520 mathematical functions, 65 graphical functions and 170 signal processing functions.
It is possible to extend Vee via ActiveX to programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and also to robots.
The software can also be customised to a specific application using ActiveX control.
Both Visual Basic and Excel utilise the Vee measurement capability, and information can be shared both to and from the software via the Internet.
Agilent Vee version 6.0 is also PC plug-in card compatible, with cards available from Amplicon Liveline, which include their own brand boards together with boards from UEI, Adlink, GW Instruments, Computer boards and Data Translation.
The software is predominantly aimed at setting up test systems within R and D, Electronic Equipment/instrumentation manufacturing and higher education.
Agilent Technologies is an offshoot from Hewlett Packard, the number one supplier of instrumentation to the Telecoms and Electronics Industries. Amplicon Liveline provides a comprehensive support system, with both pre and post sales telephone, fax and email support.
Post sales is provided free of charge for the first 12 months, with the option to buy extended support possible after this period has expired.
The new Agilent Vee Pro Version 6.0 complements other products on offer from Amplicon, as all PC plug in boards supplied or manufactured by the company are supplied with Vee drivers, therefore allowing a full PC based test system to be developed.
Rack mounted industrial PC's are also on offer so a complete system "out of a box" can be provided.
