Series of nine one-day events across Europe in February and March will present genomic assays initiative to the scientific community for the first time
Applied Biosystems has announced that its first Enabling Discovery seminar series will take place on nine dates between 25 February and 8 March.
The series of one-day events begins in Munich and subsequently visits Berlin, Rotterdam, Madrid, London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Paris, and Naples.
The Applera-wide discovery programme, which includes the exciting Genomic Assays Initiative, will be presented to the European scientific community for the first time.
Participants will hear expert speakers present the latest ideas, techniques and applications for genotyping.
Among the subjects to be discussed are new techniques for SNP analysis, including the recently launched Assays-by-Design service for SNP genotyping and gene expression analysis.
Informatics solutions for genotyping applications will also be featured, including a data analysis package that has been developed in collaboration with Decode Genetics, Iceland.
Invited speakers will vary for each venue and all will be leaders in their respective fields who routinely use Applied Biosystems equipment and products for their genomics research.
Many are early access partners who have tested and evaluated 5' nuclease assays using TaqMan MGB probes through the new Assays-by-Design service.
This seminar series reinforces Applied Biosystems leadership position as a worldwide provider of total solutions for genomics applications.
