Taking a good product and making it even better is an on-going process at Bibby Sterilin, and the recently updated Stuart range of blood tube rotators is a perfect case in point.
Providing gentle but effective mixing, the new SB2 and SB3 are ideal for life science applications, maintaining blood and other biological samples in suspension without the risk of damage.
The two new models give laboratories much greater flexibility, enabling them to select the speed and mixing angle appropriate for their specific requirements.
The basic SB2 has a constant rotational speed of 20rpm and is operated by a simple on/off switch, while the more sophisticated SB3 offers variable speed control between 2rpm and 40rpm and a digital timer as standard.
The angle of tilt is fully adjustable providing gentle rotational to full over-end mixing to ensure optimal results.
Combining ease of use with efficiency, the tubes are quick and simple to load and remove, without the need for tools.
Users can choose from six different easy-to-assemble tube holders which can accommodate between 12 and 63 samples, and a wide range of sizes from 26mm culture tubes right down to 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes.
