Researchers at Clarkson University in New York have recently praised the Brookhaven equipment they use in their laboratories for its capabilities
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Clarkson University routinely uses a ZetaPals and a BI-200SM goniometer with a BI-9000AT autocorrelator for its work and adjunct professor Chris Brancewicz explained: "There are a tremendous number of researchers in the departments of civil and environmental engineering, chemical engineering, and chemistry who use the equipment.
The instruments are absolute workhorses in the laboratory and do a great job across a huge range of applications.
"When we wanted an accurate system to determine zeta potential we chose a ZetaPals instrument.
With other systems it is impossible to determine zeta potential in solutions of high ionic strength because the high voltage required causes heating effects.
The ZetaPals system applies such low voltages that this is not a problem.
