Intensely coloured microspheres offer very high contrast and visibility relative to most background materials, for use as reference or calibration materials
Brookhaven announces a new range of intensely coloured microspheres from Duke Scientific, which offer very high contrast and visibility relative to most background materials.
The new ChromoSpheres coloured polymer microspheres were developed for use as reference or calibration materials and in other applications requiring high visual contrast.
They are available with or without Nist traceable certified mean diameters in sizes ranging from 50 to 500 micrometres (um).
ChromoSpheres are supplied as dry powders which, if desired, can easily be dispersed in aqueous media or lower alcohols.
Each size is available with a choice of deeply coloured red or black dye incorporated into the polystyrene-DVB polymer matrix.
They can be observed directly in the media being tested, either visually or by light microscopy.
Typical applications include.
Use as reference or calibration materials.
Testing of filtration media and systems.
Vial and container cleaning evaluations.
Flow tracing and fluid mechanics.
Contamination control.
Sedimentation processes.
Calibration of injection devices.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing control.
