Bespak, a developer of drug delivery systems, has announced the appointment of formulation scientist Susy Boswell to work in its science and technology Group.
Susy, who joins Bespak from 3M, is tasked with extending the company's knowledge of the drug/device interface to accelerate its development of technologies for pharmaceutical dosing.
This appointment demonstrates Bespak's commitment to the delivery of leading-edge solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturers that go beyond the simple manufacturing of devices.
It highlights the company's continued momentum in growing its R and D team to help pharmaceutical companies bring a wider range of inhaled medicines to market.
"Bespak's aim is to work more closely with design engineers to provide advice on drug formulations and hardware/material interactions to optimise valve designs for a range of PMDI products," said Paul Taylor, chief technology officer at Bespak.

Bespak is establishing a new research facility for this work at its Milton Keynes establishment.
