A new standalone website for users of the Advia 1650 chemistry system has been launched by Bayer Diagnostics.
The site provides access to a comprehensive range of system support resources including a complete parts catalogue, up to date assay menu, technical documentation library and quality control information. There is also a section on training, a contacts list and an interactive bulletin board facility which is open to all system users.
"This new site is designed to provide Advia 1650 users with everything they ever wanted to know about the instrument in one convenient location", explains Bayer's webmaster Chris Lindsay.
"Most people telephone us when they need some information about the system, but now they have an additional alternative method of finding out what they need to know.
"We will be actively encouraging customers to take part in on-line dialogue via the bulletin board facility, which is a place where observations and comments can be posted and shared".
The content of the site will be continually updated, and is intended to complement Bayer's established system support functions.
The site structure is being piloted for the Advia 1650 in the first instance, and may be expanded to encompass other Bayer systems in the future.
