Available with over 50 stationary phases and designed to permit fast sample preparation with minimal sample loss and no contamination from the supporting matrix
Lab-in-a Tip is described as a revolutionary new concept for the SPE clean up of samples, which are available in small volumes and are to be analysed by HPLC, Maldi, and CE or used in desalting, affinity cleanup, enzyme reaction studies and many other applications.
Developed by Glygen, the concept is available with over 50 stationary phases and is designed to permit fast sample preparation with minimal sample loss and no contamination from the supporting matrix with samples as small as 100nl.
The complete range of Glygen products are available exclusively in the UK from Chromatography Consulting.
There are four types of products in the range, with NuTip being a micro pipette tip in which the chromatographic material is directly attached to the inner surface of the tip thus maximising surface area in contact with the sample.
No polymer or glue is used so extracted samples are pure.
This design covers sample volumes between 1-10ul or the 10-200ul accommodates larger sample volumes.
SyringeTip is similar to the NuTip but connects directly to the end of a syringe needle and is suitable for smaller volumes.
The TopTip cartridge has the chromatographic media loosely packed into the micropipette tip that has a slit at the bottom (1-2um width), which allows the sample to pass through, but retains the chromatographic media (20-30um).
This absence of a filter allows the use of small amounts of chromatographic media.
This design is available as suitable for either 1-10ul or 10-200ul samples. LC-Fibre is a new patented polypropylene or FEP capillary tubing design incorporating the chromatographic media being directly attached to the inner wall of the Capillary (as low as 50um id) making it suitable for samples in the nanolitre range.
